        reasons for the fall and suggest remedial measures for improvement.

गुढीपाडवा

        चैत्राची सुरुवात ज्या दिवसाने होते तो दिवस म्हणजे गुढीपाडवा . चैत्र शुक्ल पक्षाच्या प्रथम दिवशी ( पाडव्याला ) प्रभू रामचंद्र सपत्नीक आपल्या सर्व दलासमवेत अयोध्येला १४ वर्षाचा वनवास संपवून परत आले होते .त्या रावणावरच्या अतुलनीय विजयाचे कौतुक म्हणून, रावणाच्या त्रासातून मुक्त झालेल्यांनी, राम आपल्या घरी परत आल्यामुळे आनंदित झालेल्या नगर जणांनी आपल्या आनंदाच्या प्रित्यर्थ गुढ्या उभ्या केल्या , आपली घरेदारे सजवली ,घराला तोरणे बांधली .

               अशा प्रकारे आनंदाप्रीत्यर्थ गुढी उभारून साजरा केला जाणारा सण म्हणजे गुढीपाडवा .

        गुढीपाडवा हा साडेतीन मुहूर्तांपैकी एक मानला जातो . हा दिवस पुण्य काळासारखा म्हणून नवीन कामाचा , नवीन कार्याचा शुभारंभ या दिवशी केला जातो .या महिन्यातील हवेतील गारवा कमी झालेला असतो व उन्हाळ्याला प्रारंभ होतो.त्यामुळे सुरुवातीच्या या उन्हाळ्याला तीव्रता नसते .

         या दिवशी लवकर उठवून मन व शरीर प्रसन्न करण्यासाठी स्नान केले जाते घरातील देवांच्या पूजेबरोबर हा सण ज्या वारी आला आहे ,त्या वाराच्या अधिपतीची पूजा केली जाते . पूर्वी गुढी उभारण्यासाठी चांदीचा कलश व जरी वस्त्र वापरले जात .आज सुद्धा हि प्रथा आहे .आता वस्त्राच्या ऐवजी भगवा झेंडा काठीला बांधून त्यावर गडू किवा छोटा तांब्या उपडा ठेवून त्यावर फुलांची भरगच्च माळ साखरमाळ बांधतात .व गुढी तुळशी वृन्दावनाच्याबाजूला बांधली जाते .या  दिवशी कडुलिंबा च्या कोवळ्या पानात हरभऱ्याची डाळ,ओवा मीठ ,गुळ घालून हे मिश्रण वाटले जाते . नंतर घरातील सर्वाना हा प्रसाद म्हणून दिला जातो .

               अशा या वर्षाच्या सुरुवातीला कडू  गोष्टी गिळून मनातील नव्या गोडव्यासह नवीन वर्ष सुरु करा अशी हि प्रथा सांगते .
